FYE Peer Mentor Alicia Trudeau recently returned from a service trip to the Dominican Republic where she provided English instruction to more than 2,000 children. When asked about her experience, Alicia said, “It was definitely a cool experience to be able to teach young minds hungry to learn. What these children most wanted and needed was attention and love, and I felt fortunate to offer all that I could.” Alicia also raised $1,800.00 for the orphanage and children. |
| FYE faculty member Holly Hoffman and peer mentor Laura Snyder shared strategies to support undergraduate research during a May 7, 2008 FYE faculty workshop.
