Jason is an alumni from CMU with a BS in Secondary Ed. and a MA in Education. He is currently pursuing his Ed.D. in Education Leadership. Jason currently is the Assistant Director for EHS, FYE, and Residence Life. He was born in Attica, MI and currently resides in Mt. Pleasant. |

Melissa is our go-to person and the first person that you will see when you come to the FYE office. After working at CMU’s Center for Charter Schools for 6 years, Melissa joined the FYE team in December 2007 and works as the Administrative Assistant for FYE and Residence Life. Melissa grew up in St. Louis, MI, and currently resides there with her husband. |
Jamie Guigar - Peer Mentor Coordinator / Office Manager

Jamie is a Senior and returning mentor pursuing a degree in Family Studies with a minor in Sociology. She is one of our two Peer Mentor Coordinators in the FYE program. They take care of the FYE Mentors and make sure everyone is doing okay in their classes. Jamie is originally from Bad Axe, MI. She joined the FYE program because she wants to give first year student the chance to get connected to campus and have an amazing first year. She hopes to be an Academic Advisor and work in Higher Education in the future. |

Reynolds - Newsletter Specialist / Office Assistant

AJ Reynolds is a Senior and returning mentor from Stockbridge, MI majoring in Elementary Education with Concentrations in Language arts and Mathematics. AJ is also an America Reads Tutor and is involved in the Student Michigan Education Association. AJ became a mentor in the FYE program because she enjoys helping students to love CMU and adjusting to college life. |

Ben is a Junior and returning mentor pursuing a degree in Information Technology with a minor in Business Administration. His hometown is Greenville, MI. He currently works in the Pearce Computer Center as well as on the Website for FYE and EHSRC. He applied to be a mentor because he really enjoyed the class as a freshman and wanted to help first year student have a great experience their first year here at Central. Ben is also involved in Alpha Phi Omega. |
