Making Achievement Possible (MAP-Works)

 

What is MAP-Works?
MAP-Works is an online, self-assessment that jumpstarts success at CMU. The assessment provides helpful recommendations to support the transition to college life and learning. Based on individual responses, every new CMU student receives an interactive report with recommendations and connections to helpful campus resources and services.

Session for CMU faculty and staff working with first-year experience seminar students, high enrollment first-year courses, residence hall communities, academic and career advising, multicultural or diversity programs, supplemental instruction, writing and mathematical assistance, and tutoring services. During this session, faculty/staff receive a short overview about MAP and available features. Participants will leave with a conceptual understanding of MAP and practical strategies for how to utilize the system within the context of their daily work to support student success.

How do I access MAP-Works?
Access to the assessment is available during the second week of classes. All new CMU students receive an email with a link and directions for completing the short (15-minute) survey.

 

Where do I call if I have a question?
Any student, faculty, or staff member may call (989) 774-3401 between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. or email fye@cmich.edu for assistance.
